Will the SFO Now Investigate EU Fraud?

Might we hope that David Green, the new Director of the Serious Fraud Office (report 12 July), will open and examine the two large box files of evidence about EU fraud which have now been sitting in his office for over eight years? They essentially ask how the UK government can legally continue to finance an organisation which is demonstrably corrupt.
Those boxes were left by me and the EU’s former Chief Accountant, Marta Andreasen, in 2004. Additional information was provided in 2008 when I made a second visit and I saw that the original boxes remained untouched.
