Who Pays for All This?

Thank you for sending me your booklet The European Union Reform Treaty which I assume was paid for by funding from the European Union. However, I notice that you do not reveal that that is the case, which is curious.
Those of us who sit in the European Parliament have an obligation to reveal our source of funding of all political pamphlets and other material we produce with public money. I have to admit this contradiction in policy had never occurred to me before and I shall be raising it with the Commission at the earliest opportunity.
Meanwhile you will not be surprised to know that I disagree profoundly with almost every word in your pamphlet, which in turn raises the question about why you should send it to me in the first place!
May I return the compliment, however, and send you a copy of my New Year message to the voters of south east England which puts a contrary view.
