European Commission Admits Losing Over £5 million a Day

A recent EU report reveals that the EU loses over £5 million a day of taxpayers’ money to fraud and irregularities – their word for incompetence.
According to the report, during the single year 2007 the EU lost £1.1 billion in reported fraud and financial irregularities.
This amounted to £5.2 million lost every working day.
