An EU proposal to create a Fundamental Rights Agency was holed below the waterline at a meeting of the Constitutional Affairs Committee in Brussels this week (21 April 05).

EU Spending Must Be Controlled by Member States

The only way to stop EU fraud and corruption is for the member states to set up their own wholly independent auditing facility. This proposal was put to the European Parliament on 12 April 05 by Ashley Mote, Independent MEP for south-east England.
